Community Payback Nomination Form

Every year, across the country, local communities benefit from over five million hours of Community Payback carried out by offenders under the supervision of the Probation Service.

Those who have already benefited from Community Payback include a wide range of community groups and organisations, local authorities , charities, "not for profit" organisations, faith groups and many public sector bodies.

We want to make Community Payback more widely available and encourage you to nominate projects you would like to see the Probation Service get involved with. If the project is accepted, and when the work is complete, it will be branded with the community payback logo, if appropriate,  to show where offenders have contributed positively to improving the neighbourhood.

We can't do this without your help!  We need to know about projects you think we could work on.

A project must meet the following criteria:

  • It must benefit the local community
  • It must not take paid work away from others
  • No one must make a profit from the work
  • It must be constructive and worthwhile
  • It must be challenging and demanding
  • Offenders must be seen to be putting something back into the local community
  • It must be within our capabilities and comply with health and safety standards

The Community Payback team will assess the project for suitability.
