Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 introduces new rights of access to all recorded information held by public authorities.
The FOI Act gives a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities, sets out exemptions from that right and places a number of obligations on public authorities.
A copy of the FOI Act and explanatory notes can be found on the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) web-site www.opsi.gov.uk.

- the manner in which they will be published, and
- whether the information is available free of charge or on payment
